Rod is the Head instructor for all programs at the Edmonton, Alberta Dojo.

Rod has been a passionate student of martial arts for over a decade and currently holds the rank of Godan (fifth-degree black belt) in Ju-Jitsu under Shihan K.D. Lintott Renshi. Rod studied Goshinkan-Ryu Ju Jitsu and previously studied Aikido and has had the honour and pleasure to personally train with such martial art masters as Michael DePasquale Jr., George Kirby, Walt Lenoir, David Dye, Richard Bustillo, Pierre Lautischer, Mike Swain, Kevin Millis, Carlos Newton, and Shihan Kevin Lintott

Rod has always valued a healthy, active lifestyle and spent much of his youth participating in hockey, golf and semi-pro baseball. He is a family man and father of three, which has granted him invaluable training for handling the kid’s classes. Rod has chosen to promote the benefits of a socially and physically healthy lifestyle through the martial art of Ju Jitsu.
