Sensei April Lintott is a 4th degree black belt in Goshinkan-Ryu Ju-Jitsu awarded on January 26, 2018 by Shihan K.D. Lintott, Headmaster of the style and president of the Alberta Ju-Jitsu Association (AJJA). Sensei April has been training in Goshinkan-Ryu Ju-Jitsu for fifteen years. After training for five years under Shihan K.D. Lintott , she was invited to grade for Shodan in July 2011. Sensei April currently is the AJJA President. She has dedicated hundreds of hours monthly for the AJJA and the GMA Dojo. Sensei April is one of three fully licensed Goshinkan-Ryu Ju-Jitsu instructors who is able to grade up to Shodan in the style.
Sensei April is the Provincial Head Instructor for the Little Samurai™ Program at all Goshinkan Ju-Jitsu Dojos as well as several AJJA dojos. She is also the provincial program and license coordinator that teaches all of our advanced and beginner instructors how to teach all of our children’s programs. Sensei April is a driven instructor teaching the Adult, Junior Shogun™ and Little Samurai™ programs. She specializes in teaching the Persuader Key Chain™ Holder classes to groups of all ages.

Sensei Douglas served in the Canadian Airborne Regiment from 1980 to 1987 and Patrol Pathfinder from 1982 - 1987. In 2009, Sensei Douglas began his training in Aikido from 1989 to 1996 and achieved Shodan. Sensei started training in Goshinkan-Ryu Ju-Jitsu in March 2012. Mike is a humble, committed Jujitsuka.
Sensei Douglas started training privately for his first Menyko License under the founder Shihan Lintott. It is rare for a Mudansha to train solely with the founder, this takes great discipline.
Sensei Douglas has over ten years' experience in Japanese martial arts, under Shihan Lintott, and several other Goshinkan Sensei. Sensei Douglas has been committed to taking private lessons from Shihan Lintott every Saturday for over a year achieving hundreds of hours of direct teaching in the art. Michael teaches under the direction of Shihan Lintott. Sensei Michael is in charge of writing and maintaining the requirements for all Mudansha levels and the Yudansha levels of Shodan and Nidan.
In 2018, Sensei Douglas agreed to take on the tasks of training all higher belts and Goshinkan Sensei in history; etiquette; discipline and grading process of the style. Sensei Douglas

In 2007, Sensei Jacob Martin began his training full time in Goshinkan-Ryu Ju-Jitsu under Shihan K.D. Lintott at the first Grande Prairie Hombu Dojo. Jacob prides himself in being a humble and respectful committed Jujitsuka.
By 2009 Sensei Jacob became exclusively Shihan K.D. Lintott's Uke. Jacob was one of Shihan Lintott's first Mudansha to take all his Menyko courses before becoming a Senpai. Jacob was training privately for his first Menyko License under the founder Shihan Lintott as well as being the Uke for the majority of the courses. It is rare for a Mudansha to train solely with the founder, this takes great discipline.
Sensei Jacob has trained for over 13 years under Shihan Lintott and several other Goshinkan Sensei. Jacob is one of many volunteer instructors' at Goshinkan-Ryu Ju-Jitsu Dojos.
Sensei Jacob is the only black belt at the Grande Prairie Dojo. Jacob is a driven instructor certified to teach the Adult, Junior Shogun™ and Little Samurai™ programs. He specializes in teaching Mudansha to become great Uke's and Senpai's.

Sensei Johnston has been training in Goshinkan Ju-Jitsu for four years. Sensei Johnston trained in Jishin-Do Jiu-Jitsu, Ronin Ju-Jitsu and Bissett Combat Ju-Jitsu from 2012-2013 and achieved his orange belt in the style while in Halifax. Sensei Johnston also studied Sil-Lum Hung Gar Kung Fu for a year and hald in Halifax.
Sensei Johnston is often one of the best uke at every grading. Sensei Johnston was awarded the title of Senpai on November 22, 2014. Sensei Johnson is the fiftieth Goshinkan-Ryu black belt.
Sensei Johnston is a driven instructor certified to teach all level one Goshinkan program and the Adult, Shogun™ and Little Samurai™ programs. On October 14, 202, Sensei Johnston passed the coveted Sandan test.

Torrin has competed in several Jiu-Jitsu tournaments with many gold level wins.

Sensei Jordan has been training in Goshinkan Ju-Jitsu for over seven years. Sensei Jordan is a humble committed Jujitsuka that brings great technical skills and encourages more women to join Goshinkan Ju-Jitsu.
Sensei Jordan has trained for over seven years under Sensei Michael Douglas as well as the founder Shihan Lintott, and several other Goshinkan Sensei. Sensei Jordan has taken some private lessons from Shihan Lintott when she is able.
Sensei Jordan is a driven instructor certified to teach all level one Goshinkan programs and the Adult, Shogun™ and Little Samurai™ programs. On June 24, 2017 Sensei Jordan passed the coveted Shodan test and was awarded the title of Sensei, she is the 51st Sensei in Goshinkan Ju-Jitsu.

Sensei Chute began her training in Goshinkan-Ryu Ju-Jitsu in May 2012 at the Okotoks Dojo. Laura Completed her first Menkyo License under the founder Shihan Lintott on January 6, 2018.
Sensei Laura has over five years experience in Goshinkan Japanese Ju-Jitsu. She has trained under Sensei Douglas as well as the founder Shihan Lintott. Laura has been assisting in teaching Little Samurai, Shogun, and Adults for the past 4 years.
Sensei Laura is a talented and dedicated instructor certified to teach all level one Goshinkan programs and the Adult, Shogun™ and Little Samurai™ programs.

Sensei Luke has over five years of experience in Goshinkan Japanese Ju-Jitsu. He has trained under Sensei April Lintott, Sensei Josh George, and Sensei John Hare as well as the founder Shihan Lintott. Luke has been assisting in teaching Mini Bushi, Little Samurai, Shogun, and Adults for the past five years. Sensei Luke assisted Sensei April Lintott in writing the Mini Bushi Program.

Sensei Marc Bouchard is a Founding member of the AJJA (Alberta Jiu-Jitsu Association) he is the head instructor at the Calgary Dojo.
Marc continued to search for a style of self-defense that was more rounded. While working as a doorman in a local night club in Calgary, Sensei Marc was invited to attend a doorman security training course where he met Shihan Lintott. After attending the course, Sensei Marc began his training in Jiu-Jitsu in 1995 in the style of Jishin-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu. At that point Sensei Marc dedicated himself to ju jitsu; this was the best martial art he had found.
Sensei Marc graded for his Shodan in Goshinkan-Ryu JuJitsu on September 15, 2000 under Shihan Kevin D. Lintott. He was Shihan Lintott’s first black belt in the style. Marc has trained under and with Shihan K.D. Lintott, Kyoshi in Jishin-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu and Can-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu prior to Shihan founding the Goshinkan style in 1998.

Sensei Kyle has been training with Shihan K.D. Lintott Kyoshi since January 1998. Prior to Kyle becoming a Black Belt under Shihan he trained at South Western Combat Arts and achieved his yellow belt in Jishin-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu.
Kyle became business partners with Shihan K.D. Lintott Renshi in operating Scorpion Fitness and Scorpion Combat Arts Dojo in 1998. Kyle also helped Shihan in developing the GMA Door-One Protection Program in the Calgary Area. Kyle worked in Protective Services with Shihan for many years.

Shihan K.D. Lintott is a 7th-degree black belt in Goshinkan-Ryu Ju-Jitsu and United States Ju-Jitsu awarded on March 16, 2017, by the Technical Promotion Committee of the United States Ju-Jitsu Federation (USJJF). Shihan Lintott also holds the rank of Godan 5th degree black belt in Jishin-Do Jiu-Jitsu and Nidan 2nd degree black belt in Jishin-Ryu Tai-Jitsu under Kyoshi Chris Bissett head of the style, Shihan Lintott has been a direct student of Shihan Bissett in Jishin-Ryu Tai-Jitsu and Jishin-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu for thirty-one years.
Shihan K.D. Lintott is a Machi-bugyo (Commissioner) in Edo Machi-kata Taiho-Jutsu and the Western Canadian Director.
In February 2002 Shihan founded the Alberta Jiu Jitsu Association (AJJA). This is a non-profit organization that aims to bring together Jiu-Jitsu (Ju Jitsu) practitioners within Alberta and to promote the art to non-members.

Chris Bissett has been involved in JIU-JITSU and TAI-JITSU since 1970. He received his first degree Black Belt (Shodan) in 1975 and is currently a 9th-degree Black Belt in JISHIN-RYU JIU-JITSU and a 9th-degree Black Belt in JISHIN-RYU TAI-JITSU.
He is an author and internationally recognized authority in the fields of Protective Services and Combat Arts.
In recent years, Shihan BISSETT has been awarded rankings and recognition by the United States Ju-Jitsu Federation, the CIJJF, the WKF, the WAJS, Sanuces Ryu Ju-Jitsu, and by the late Master Moses Powell. Shihan BISSETT’s Ranks have been endorsed and countersigned by many of the top Jiu-Jitsu Masters in the world.
Beyond his own personal projects, Shihan Bissett continues to be an enthusiastic teacher, training and developing solid Black Belts who represent the high standards of our Jiu-Jitsu system and working towards the betterment and maintenance of Standards for Jiu-Jitsu, Tai-Jitsu, and Aiki-Jitsu in Canada.
Shihan Bissett has served as a Military Pilot with the Canadian Forces and with the United Nations, including tours in Europe, the Middle East, and Central America. He has field-tested our Jiu-Jitsu system in some of the worst environments with outstanding results.
